Week 30
Shadow first
Find something with a strong outline and photograph its shadow instead of the object itself.

No face required
Photograph a person as a silhouette only, no visible features, just the outline against the light.

Reads in black and white
Find a pattern built from light and dark alone, something that would still read with the color stripped out.

Same spot, twice
Shoot the same location twice in a day, once with long shadows and once with almost none.

Fan Ho
Spent decades photographing Hong Kong's streets and stairwells almost entirely in natural light, composing with shape and shadow first, often before deciding what the subject even was. His most famous image used a shadow he added by hand in the darkroom.
